OPERATING PRINCIPLE

The TYPE A controller is used to control the ventilation of a fixed air flow fume cupboard.

It has three push buttons, allowing you to control ventilation, lighting, and stop the audible alarm.

Pressing the M/A ventilation button on the HMI allows you to control an extractor and/or a motorized shutter via the two VENT 1 and VENT 2 relays.

The probe measures the frontal velocity and the controller informs the user using several LEDs.

The green LED is on when the face speed is sufficient.

The red LED flashes when the face speed is insufficient.

The orange LED "sash overhang" lights up if the maximum window height is exceeded. This fault is triggered by a position switch.

The orange “auxiliary faults” LED lights up if the auxiliary input is activated.

The audible alarm is activated after a delay of 15 to 30 seconds when a fault remains present. After identifying the cause, the user can silence this alarm by pressing the buzzer stop button.

Pressing the light ON/OFF button controls the lighting via a 250V 16A relay.

The controller is powered by a supplied 230V/12V transformer.

The controller is factory preset to 0.5m/s and can be adjusted on site using an anemometer

The direction of rotation, why is it important?

Our centrifugal fans are made up of various components, including an impeller. Depending on your installation, this turbine will turn to the left or to the right.

That's why there are 2 different types of impeller: LG or RD.

An LG fan turns clockwise, with the volute outlet to the left.An RD fan turns counter-clockwise. The volute outlet is to the right.

Why is this important? If an LG turbine is used on an installation requiring an RD (or vice versa), the efficiency of your ventilation will be greatly reduced.

How long is the warranty?

Fans are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original shipment date. Any unit or part found defective and reported within the warranty period will be replaced after inspection by SEAT VENTILATION, with transportation prepaid by the sender. Deterioration caused by wear and tear due to heat, abrasive action, chemicals, improper installation or use, or lack of normal maintenance do not constitute defects and are not covered by the warranty. Transportation to and from the factory for warranty repairs is not covered by the warranty and is the sole responsibility of the equipment owner.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for installation, removal, or reinstallation costs, or for any consequential damages resulting from failure to comply with the terms of any warranty.
